However, you may choose to bring a few items from home, such as bedding and toys, to help your pet feel more relaxed. A professional dental cleaning at Central Kentucky Veterinary Services involves cleaning your pet’s teeth using an ultrasonic scaler to remove tartar and calculus, both visible and beneath the gumline. We also perform dental radiographs (x-rays) to evaluate the mouth’s structures. After cleaning, teeth are polished to prevent tartar formation, and a fluoride treatment is applied for added protection.
